The Woes of Sitemeter.
I am removing the Sitemeter counter from my site. I realized that I was spending more time looking at who was reading my writing, than actually writing anything. I was also beginning to get tempted to tailor articles to draw hits, instead of writing for my primary audience. (Both of you.)

I read about google analytics on your blog and tried it out, but I couldn't handle it. I got addicted and it started running my life. It was when I found myself not sleeping anymore to look at blog statistics that I decided to quit cold turkey. After a week of night sweats and nausea, I kicked blog stats altogether. I have been clean for over a week. (weak applause)
